Based on a photo by Mr. Newman, who once told me (and I’m sure to a lot of people) a story about Pollock offering him one of his just finished painting for a couple thousand dollars.  Newman was just getting married at the time and needed the money, and lost his opportunity to acquire a Pollock drip painting.  Oh well. 

I’m trying to loosen up here.  Tried too hard to be accurate, and I kept on putting on shades and darkening some lines.  It looked better when it was about 80% done.
